Berrilicious 67th :)

Dec. 3rd, 2009 | 03:24 am

At the rate i'm blogging it seems that I'll never get any decent entry done up! But I'm soooo glad I finally managed to squeeze some time out to blog about my lovely 67th monthsary, even if it means blogging at 3 am now :*) Time sure whizzed past without me keeping track of anything recently, I had to test Leong the monthsary we would be celebrating on the 1st Dec and at the same time pretend that I actually knew the answer hahaha. :x

Not Musselicious, or White Dog, or Terra, but Bei Shan Chuan Spicy Seafood Restaurant! Sounds like a breath of fresh air isnt it? Well, we initially wanted to dine at Terra but the whole restaurant has already been replaced by The Soup Spoon! Sighs. :(:( Looks like we have to find a new dating hotspot! Haha but we were pretty proud of ourselves for not eating spaghetti and baked rice that day! :D

I've never seen such an empty buffet restaurant for a start, there were only 3 tables occupied including ours so u can imagine how quiet it was! Service was a thumbs-down for me, the staff hardly took notice of us and Leong had to clear our own table as the plates were stacking up -_-"" The selection was alright if i were to take the price we paid into account, but we suppose we'll be sticking to spaghetti and baked rice the next time round lol!

I have no idea why Leong likes the man tou, so harddd! :( Tried to poke my chopstairs into it and it took me like half a minute! I think he ate about 9 rock-like man tous. I kindly took chicken for my boyfriend cus we didnt take any meat at all and he was absolutely disgusted by the chicken i picked..it had FEATHERS!!! :O My bad for spoiling our appetites HAHA but how i know right!!!

Sun's a bit bright and my boyfriend was utterly shocked by my sudden fat face (I think he's intending to call me FF soon :( ) so this is the best pic we took! Went PetSafari to buy more toys and food for the little rascal at home, Leong was telling me sadly that I'm spending more on Abby than him and he's not even worth a pet now hahah! So cute. :)

So i bought him his favourite One Long Thing to put a smile on his face! :D Blueberry Vanilla for us again! Caught 2012 and i feel it would be a perfect show with a more credible plot..like I will never understand how Jackson Curtis and his family managed to survive in the midst of all that destruction (plane wrecks, floods, volcanic eruptions, tsunami, earthquakes, whatever disasters u can think of!!) I love the convincing visual effects though, still a great movie for us! :) The only regret was to miss seeing Aaron Kwok and Ekin Cheng cus we saw the stage being set up at GV but we had no idea that they would be having The Storm Warriors II premiers that very day argh!

Okie off to sleep now and Suki Lunch with Dearie tmr!! Yipee yay yay :*)

Swivelle is Featured! :)

Nov. 28th, 2009 | 06:39 pm

We are really happy and honoured to be featured in the December issue of a new Chinese online interactive magazine called SianzOnline! :D One of our buyers loves our pieces and she happens to be a part of the editorial team for this e-magazine, so she invited us to be featured under this month's Fashion column! :)) Thanks babe!

Launched in October 2009, Sianz Online is a free online interactive magazine in Mandarin that publishes on a monthly basis. The editorial team of Sianz Online works closely with its readers to produce interactive and customized content for everyone. Sianz Online is still at its experimental stage in terms of publishing and editorial techniques. However, as Singapore’s first Chinese interactive magazine, Sianz Online will strive to produce high-quality content and provide its readers with enjoyable reading experiences, setting an example to the local e-magazine industry. Unlike traditional print magazine, Sianz Online has its own editorial styles.

Sianz Online is also confident of beating the traditional model, providing best-for-all content and increasing readers’ interest.
Sianz Online consists of four parts, Fashion, Beauty, Food and Artaiment. Based on its readers’ interest, Sianz Online may modify or expand the areas of coverage in the future.  To date, Sianz Online has exceeded its expectation of 1,000 readers for 1st issue.

Do support as I've read through this issue, there's indeed great content and you can see the amount of effort they put in in every page! :D On a sidenote, lots of customers have been emailing us lately regarding the slamming incident on the forum and my sis and I have decided to do a proper clarification asap. Thankyou all for supporting us and even helping to speak up for us on the forum! We truly appreciate it and we'll continue to improve on Swivelle! :))

P.S: Expect loads of swv-surprises this season of joy and loveee! :*D

A Christmas Carol

Nov. 26th, 2009 | 02:39 am

Clar and I were reading Cleo on the way home today and I am almost certain that I'm currently facing the horrors of QLC. :(( It's when you see no meaning in getting out of ur bed every morning (but you have to anyway which is the reason why it makes you even more depressed than you already are), when you are almost desperate for navigations in life, and when you are alarmed each time a random number buzzes your phone even though it actually signals an opportunity knocking at your door. Sad right. :((

I havent been updating my lifebook for the longest time so you can expect a significant entry hahaha. I was called up for my 2nd interview with Ascentia, so I bravely went and had an experience of a lifetime. It sounds exaggerating but if u can visualise, I was attending a meeting with directors, corporate trainers and management trainees and suddenly someone jumped out to hit a gong (cus he hit a certain target the previous day), proceeded to run around the room and everyone was so eager for a chance to give him a hi^5 or a pat on his back, this is what i call m.o.t.i.v.a.t.i.o.n & one of the extreme scenarios of team building. :O

I absolutely love the working environment cus everyone goes to work with smiles on their faces, ending their day of tiring work with jokes and laughter. But the first stage of the management trainee course is enough to defeat me cus it requires the constant perserverance to hit daily targets, doing roadshows and facing rejections, depleting the possible time spent with leong/families/friends. So i rejected the offer when I was called up again, this time for the final assessment. I wasnt sure if I've made a right decision at first but now I know that I do need time for myself and my loved ones, and that's more important to me than anything else :)

Happy matters now, do u think I should get this!! :D It looks absolutely cute-to-bits, I'm not in need of a thumbdrive but I feel like getting it anyway!! :D 2gb for $19.90, it's a hello kitty thumbdrive spree so I need to decide fassst..there're so many designs and I particularly like Hello Kitty Libra and Hello Kitty Rabbit! I have a knack for buying impractical stuff whenever i'm attacked by the shopping bug, eg. buying 9 new colourful rubberbands for Abby girl today when I was at Tiong Bahru Plaza..Clar said Abby doesnt know what's in for her till I return home -_-""

Her sianzeefied look everytime we do such things to her, hahaha! Before you accuse us of abusing her, the strawberry glitter clip which Leong and I specially chose for her won't cause pain and my pair of sunglasses doesnt have a degree! We bought 5 outfits for her from petsmomo (total added up to $100+), the cheongsam suits her to a t! Customer service is pretty good so those who are interested can consider getting from them, free delivery for purchases more than $40!

Fang's belated birthday celebration at 10DollarClub, with Clar Jas and Jiamin! I was resentful of the fact that the bill doesnt reflect so, so I attempted to trick Clar into giving me 20bucks if I asked one of the staff why we had to pay $14 each if it's a 10dollar club..she didnt dare to risk it cus maybe she thought that I would dare to ask (given how well she knows me lol) Anyway all of us took turns to be scolded by the birthday girl from time-to-time, she didnt allow me and jas to chat when she was singing and she screamed at poor Clar to eject to the next song to save time HAHAA. My darling is uniquely Fang. :) Hope u love the pressies & card from all of us, and of course a beatbox version of a birthday song presented by JCJ hehe. :D

Hi Tea at Orchid Hotel last Saturday! I was repeatedly telling Leong how much I love the christmas pinnacles and how nice it would be to bring all the decorations home :*) Had a craving for Laksa so I ended up having 2 bowls of it, ate about 50 pieces of abalone, 15 cold prawns and 4 scoops of ice-cream. There wasnt much variety, probably cus it was neither lunch nor dinner..feeling full still but not in a satisfactory way!

Heart Buffets :) On a side-note this photo of me reminds me of Maya Herrera (2nd season of Heroes)..her eyes start to bleed when she's unable to control her poison-emission powers, causing accidental murder. Which means that i actually look quite freaky with my pupil occuping 9/10 of my eye -_-"

Leong and I went for a movie date and I was really pleased to watch A Christmas Carol! The 3D movie is so visually beautiful that I noticed every single animation, from the falling snowflakes to the cheeky grin on Mr Scrooge's aged face. Jim Carrey's classic expressions never fail to impress me and we agreed that he's definitely the best man for this movie. It's a little frightening (i was creeped out by the ghost of the past/future), but nevertheless its ultimate aim is to spread the christmas spirit, and it sure did for me. :*) The next thing I have to do is to psycho my boyfriend to watch {The Princess & The Frog} with me HAHA :D:D

I think Dearie and I are starting to look alike cus we both looked darn tired haha!
Looking forward to our Heroes day tmr and having pepper lunchhh! :*D

In Response

Nov. 20th, 2009 | 04:30 am

Been replying emails and packing parcels ever since I got home at midnight, it's almost 4.30am and I have two appointments with my suppliers tmr in the morning. Feeling more than just weary after reading a thread created today by the exact same person who presented us with a hate mail yesterday morning. We really appreciate this sweet reader who informed us about the slams made on the forum..thanks babe. :)

The reason why I am blogging about it now is not because I want to go all petty about it, but for the fact that she not only tainted our reputation at our site just before our launch, but went on further to smear our image at a public forum. We let the matter rest yesterday, without making an attempt to track this customer down or making a big fuss about it. I have been waiting for her to drop us her email so we can get back to her and resolve this issue in a friendliest way, but apparently she took advantage of our nice replies to her by going way too far this time.

Firstly she claimed that she posted a comment earlier than this customer, but we gave this one-off piece to the other customer. The reason for it? This customer supposedly knows us and because of that she was given a discount. We would like to clarify that she was the second customer who commented for this and she definitely did not comment for this earlier. Plus, how does she know that we are friends with our buyer and she was given a discount? My sis and I are not personal friends with this buyer, neither did we give her a discount. I feel so ridiculous trying so hard to explain when all her claims do not make any sense to me at all..but i see the need to be answerable to my buyers/readers. :(

My sis is really incensed in regards to this matter and she was determined to track this person down just now..so we did. And the identity of this girl is such a shock to me that if i were to be honest, I still couldnt believe that it's her, although the solid evidence is practically bellowing at me to face the truth. Cus I was patient with her throughout the lengthy conversations we had and at the end of the day all she had to say about me was 'Inconsiderate'. She warned everyone not to buy from us, but yet this afternoon she emailed requesting me to send her an invoice for one of our sales items. So what is this about the discrepancy between her caution and actions?

I'm getting a headache cus this customer is really not worth me depriving myself of rest, yet I feel it's necessary to explain ourselves. We have been trying our best to cope with the increasing number of customers but still to us, a customer is a customer to us, literally. No matter how caught up we are with all the procedures we insist on doing personally (whether it's replying to all emails the fastest possible, writing thank-you notes or attaching photos of parcels to notification emails), every single customer is very dear to us and your opinion about us is undoubtedly valuable. This is why we are affected by what she has done, one customer or not.

We know who you are, and we have emailed you.

P.S: To girls who've emailed us, cheering us up with your jokes and words of encouragement, we want to let u know all these meant a lot to us, and we really appreciate you all lotsss. Hearts you all, really :*)

Words Sting the Spirit

Nov. 18th, 2009 | 02:30 pm

Not in the prettiest mood today cus the first thing i heard from my sis was a hate mail from one of our customers this morning. :(( I suppose some of you would have alrdy seen this comment left at swivelle, cus we have no intention of screening or deleting this anonymous's verbal lash at us. All i can say is, our customers can judge for themselves and we'll definitely clarify any doubts in regards to our business ethics!

Family photos at the airport where we sent our mum off and she came home from Winterland, with her voice louder than ever now when she speaks to us at home cus her ears are still blocked after a 6hours flight back from Beijing. -_-"" I need a vacation badly, dread the idea of working..I'm almost afraid to look at my phone when i see random numbers calling me up. :((

Daily photo-taking with Abby, why does she look so utterly miserable when I'm squeezing her so tightly and my embrace is overflowing with passion and love!! :( Ooh that reminds me, for those who're still enquiring if you can still place an order for Balloon-Sleeved Top in Navy Blue (the one i was wearing in these photos), I've checked with my supplier and I just might be able to take in a few more slots for backorders! :D

Dearie's official wallpaper for his phone hehe. :) It all started when Sis bought BBgirl a cute lollipop with pink and white swirls, then it was my turn to get her a pink doughnut with rainbow sprinkles and now our little darling is obsessed with a new toy I got for her, a fat bright red strawberry! :D I swear she's a toy-destroyer, i had to sew her strawberry one day right after i bought it cus she was aggressively sinking her teeth into it the entire night and all the threads came out! -__-"" Rascal.

Some outfits for Abby sis and i are shortlisting for upcoming christmas and cny! I especially like the first striped singlet with coloured elmo babies, Sis loves the minnie mouse one! We're definitely getting the I love Elmo tee and one of the cheongsams, and it's such an extravagant thought such that I wanna get everything for her if possible! Haha i must remember to contact the online seller by tonight.

A hilarious pic i got off my mum's cam; Poor dearie never fails to be one of the two foodbins (andrew, the other) whenever our family has steamboat, bbq and buffet parties hahaha! Now his tactic is to eat as little as possible when we are starting off with the first round of piling-your-plate-with-as-much-food-as-possible (supposedly), so that he can still stomach more when they're piling HIS plate with leftovers haha!

A simple cosy day spent together with Dearie :*) We had curry zazzle for lunch yesterday, spent the rest of the afternoon at my house decorating my slanted christmas tree (the finished product looked err, quite unfinished so i need to do some urgent xmas shopping) and this is the legendary claypot chicken (which taste like human meat as leong claims) and sambal sotong which we had for dinner!! Yummy yum yum :D

Dropping By!

Nov. 12th, 2009 | 02:09 am

Hi everybody!! I'm finally able to pop in here to give a summary of what i've been up to these past few days! :)) No photos though cus i've been up to my neck with swivelle, sending resumes, going for interviews, scheduling interviews, rejecting interviews..haha  u get the gist! I didnt get chosen for a 2nd interview with CIMB, not a shocker considering I told them i only heard of their company after spotting their newspaper ad wahahah! I seriously need to improve on my interview skills.

Went for a management trainee interview at Ascentia today and i loveee the environment and people there! And guess what I'm called up for a 2nd interview! :D I dun wanna sound too hopeful about it cus i might not be able to get past the 2nd barrier, but any further opportunity is a blessing to me! :)) Wish me luck on monday kayyy!

Will be back with entry of my birthday celebration with dearie and update you all further about my path to freeing myself from the title j.o.b.l.e.s.s hahaha! :D Ooh and i LOVE my customers for being so awesome every single collection and simply treating us as friends whom u can chat with! :) Our cable connection (and the weather) have been on the doom side these past few days so I'm sorry if i'm a little slow this time round in replying emails or sending out parcels! We really appreciate ur support & understanding all these while!

Catch me here sooooon. :*)

Happy 22nd Clar! :)

Nov. 4th, 2009 | 03:09 am

Clar and I made a mad dash to CIMB yesterday due to time mismanagement on her part but thank goodness we arrived on time! I'm glad her interview went smoothly! :) We were talking about jobs and I've been feeling dispirited for the rest of the day, cus if i have to sit down and access my efforts in finding a job, I would say my heart is not in it at all, not the slightest. I'm simply bowing to pressure of being jobless, circling opportunities based on the requirements and not what I really want.

An environment built on competition, shrewdness and tangible benefits is just not the place for me but this environment is what exactly represents the real world today, which means I have to try my hardest to break free from it. :( So from today onwards I'm going to live for myself, and I hope to work in a place where I'm genuinely happy and proud of my profession :) I got to keep going!!!!

Jas, Fang, Gladys, Jiamin, Mel, Leong and I celebrated Miss Late's 22nd at People Like Us Cafe, love the cosy ambience! Leong and I got  her a cream vintage bag and a grey bohemian top, along with my handmade book of 22 things you should know about Clar. Before it gets really belated..Happy Birthday baby!! :) Thankew for being my godsend christian friend, my bestie and a sister to me. You have no idea how much i appreciate you and for all the things u've done for me..Hugs <3

Swivelle updated! My favs: Dreamfluff, Lace Toga and the Cream Rose Belt :) For those who missed the champagne evening clutch, we'll be bringing in the black version of it next week..and I'll be calling up my supplier tomorrow morning to see if she has extra pieces of Bohemian/ Pink Satin Tops! Okie it's raining now, the best time to hit the sack!

Beary Sweet 66th :)

Nov. 3rd, 2009 | 04:17 am

I like to name this day "The Big Half" :D We didnt get to celebrate on the actual day itself on the 1st cus I had church in the day and studioshoot in the evening, so we celebrated yesterday as we had the entire day to spend together! It was such a pleasure waking up late on a monday and going on a date with him till night :*)

Our anni pressies for each other! :) I got Leong a new Nike pouch and a tank from CottonOn which he wanted but didnt get it for himself the other time..and darling gave me 2 new Carebears!! :D So much for refusing point-blank to buy me more of them initially but still spoiling me in the end with my 3rd and 4th. :))

Amigo Bear is the first multilingual Care Bear and can speak every language in the world, with a preference for Spanish. He is orange with an Aztec-style sun and hearts as his tummy symbol. Play-a-Lot Bear loves to play and have fun, similar to his friend, Funshine Bear. He is sky blue and his tummy symbol is a violet bouncing ball with a heart on it, followed by a rainbow trail. I've been searching so long for their characteristics cus they're not part of the early series but only introduced in the 2000s! My knowledge of Carebears is expanding vastly :D

To think when we started off dating during JC1, we watched almost a movie every single week and now the last time we caught a movie was one month ago on our 65th monthsary! Haha think we watched way too many movies online :x  And we finally caught This Is It! Michael Jackson's truly a talented musician & entertainer, he's a great dancer too..just that I was too busy admiring a handsome blond-haired backup dancer who looks like Nick Carter :x

Dearie and I spent the day shopping for christmas decos at Daiso, trying to squeeze past the crowd at Sembawang Music, talking about our plans to have a huge collection of carebears in our future bedroom, him wanting a room filled with gym equipment & swords, and having Ayam Panggang for dinner (his treat!) :*) lovesss.

Lastly, my favourite piece from Swivelle's upcoming collection tonight! Material is so comfy and i love the subtle pleats! :) Will be accompanying Clar for her CIMB interview tmr, hopefully she is prepared for the "why must it be cimb, why must it be personal banker" questions haha! Nights all :*)

As Random

Oct. 31st, 2009 | 07:23 pm

I thought I would have ample time to do up the specifications and pricings for swivelle's upcoming collection this week but it turned out that I've not even started on it yet! :( I'm guilty of being addicted to this new HK drama dvd my mum brought home a few days back, and sis andrew & i spent 5 hours watching the last few episodes till midnight yesterday lol!

Had an interview with CIMB on Friday morning, thanks baby for accompanying me again! :) I pretty much failed my first personal test - there's nothing more I dread than wearing officewear! The interviewer repeatedly asked me questions like "Why CIMB? Why not UOB, DBS, HSBC etc?" "Why personal banker? Why not customer service officer or relationship manager?"

I couldnt whip out a convincing story to save my life so I told the truth, that I noticed the company's recruit advert and the position available was Personal Banker! What did he want me to say! -_-"" I couldnt possibly tell him that I've never heard of CIMB in my entire life and banking is the last industry i ever want to step into right! I think this interview is a flop and I hate myself for always failing to impress. :(

Haha i'm not really affected by my interview cus somehow banking isnt my cup of tea or maybe i'm just not suitable or even cut out for it. So clar and i happily went shopping for her interview clothes and I bought a christmas headband for Abby, which she broke it in less than 3 minutes as we were both engaged in a chaotic struggle when i tried to put it on for her back home!!!!!  I got her a pair of ahlian-ish glitter strawberry clips which she attempted to destroy too! :(

Yes, this innocent-looking rascal of mine but she's a total monster!!!! :O:O
This photo also happens to be my phone's screen-saver haha.

When the clock marked the first hour of my 22nd, Clar called me and asked if I was at home:
Me: "Yah why? Dun tell me you are at the void deck."
Clar, Indignantly: "No lah!! I just want to ask u something about my sis's blogshop!"
Me: "Okay..haha what about it?"
Clar: "You go see her website first....err then u come down!!"

What kind of birthday surprise is this, HAHA she gave up tricking me so easily! Clar, Jiamin and Gladys fixed a lego house for me, so sweet of them! :)) Apparently I'm eating the same food as the dogs, I have a pink rose on my frizzy hair and I dun have a decent place to sleep in cus they only built a doghouse and an ice-cream shop. -_-""

Thankew all for ur effort and those sincere handmade card and pressies, although u took the opportunity to insult me whenever possible boo!! This "foolproof" project certainly brightened up my night :)

Updated: Just reached home not long ago but not in time to avoid the mad storm! Spent the afternoon shopping around at Compass with dearie and we enjoyed a nice chat at Starbucks :*) I'm looking forward to decorating my christmas tree with him this week hopefully! By the way Swivelle's updating on this coming tues/wed so stay tune for it! :D

Birthday Celebration Part III

Oct. 29th, 2009 | 04:00 am

It's like Déjà vu when I received a call from CIMB, arranging an appointment with me on Friday. Instead of having built-up confidence for my upcoming 3rd interview, I feel defeated and petrified at the same time (it's a terrible feeling) even before I try. I have no idea what I'm in for this time round so I can only try my best and pray hard about it :(

Order List for Dinner: Sashimi & ChaSoba Bento, Unagi & Tori Karaage Bento, Hanamaki, ChaSoba, 3 sets of Chawanmushi, Kappa Maki, 3 sets of Salmon Sashimi, 2 sets of Abaemi Sashimi, Egg Mayo Inari, Tuna Inari, 2 sets of Gyoza, and Fried Tofu! Loves to Mummy for treating this sumptous dinner :*) It's pure luxury being able to consume the raw esp for dinner, haha!

Lots of Love for my Family for celebrating my birthday once again on the eve :)

I will have this as my birthday cake anytime cus it's sooo yummilicious (and pretty as well)!! Mummy specially made a trip to the bakery shop early in the morning to get her hands on it as it gets sold out extremely fast every day! The cake has 3 layers: the sweet strawberry jelly, cheese (whoo!) and the biscuit layer! I had 4 pieces of it despite it being awfully sinful & all! :D

Sorry I have to torture u with photos of the Pocahontas-Lookalike barefaced me, haha but I'm pretty sure the sight of Abby wearing her pink lacy corset and a colourful party hat will light up anyone's face! :*) I can assure u that she loves wearing clothes but when it comes to clips, hats and hairbands.....that will need a considerable amount of 'persuading'.... lol!

Happy Birthday to me, for the 3rd time! :D Okie shall end off now and return to the website splashed with hateful accounting terms :(

Birthday Celebration Part II

Oct. 27th, 2009 | 01:43 am

After a day of hardcore shopping and the pain of enduring car-sickness twice cus we had 2 long taxi journeys, I was almost half dead when I pounced on the sofa back home. I think it was also due to the giddiness i felt after attempting to sms leong and clar with my new crystal and the touchscreen was literally driving me nuts..do i have such giant fingers??! :(

That aside, I decided to take a taxi to Grapevine even though i knew it was still the peak hour and people with sense would just take a bus since it was well, at Serangoon, which is exactly where I live. But being extremely tired and lazy, i spent $4.80 warming my butt for probably less than 3 minutes in the taxi! -.-"

Leong and I were the earlybirds once again so we went in and had a drink first..and this darling surprised me with a bouquet of roses as an advanced birthday pressie :*D He said he thought it would be troublesome for me to bring it to Sentosa on my actual bdae so this shall be my first present! :) Will post up photos of the bouquet when i blog about it!

My lovelies who celebrated with me that night :) Sorry for the bad quality of photos cus the lighting there was so dim and the ambience was too relaxing that I felt like sleeping! Haha it didnt help that I couldnt really see anyone's face clearly! Grapevine's pretty empty on a weekday so it's a nice & peaceful place if u wanna chill out with ur buds! :)

Had Aglio Olio, the meat tasted like ba gua (Fang passed the exact same remark too haha!) and I requested for extra x5 spicy but they didnt give me that! :( I didnt know that my gang prepared a birthday ice-cream for me and they even put up a show so i wouldnt suspect! I knew they were up to something just that I wasnt sure what! I concluded that they never give up haha!

Funnily, I was kind of at a loss this year when I was asked to make a wish. When I closed my eyes my mind was a complete blank. But now i'm more amused by the fact that everyone was gathering around me trying to keep the candle flame alive, but I was taking ages to diminish it cus I couldnt seem to blow it out hahahaha!!

To my gorgeous LH3, thankew for the pretty dresses and solving part of my wardrobe crisis, and for the surprise "redemption gift" which I will blog about soon :) To Baby, Gladys and Jiamin, for the handmade card and not getting angry with me even when I interpreted & guessed all ur drawings wrongly, haha! Ooh and spending the rest of the night playing Bridge at my house till 2am! :) <3 to each and everyone of you! :)

Shopaholics

Oct. 26th, 2009 | 02:03 am

A girl's day out with my sister and little cousin on the 19th since they were enjoying their hols' and I am still having mine too  (yes i know, the span of my holidays is getting way too long) It makes me a happy little bird still to have my mind cluttered with random stuff I not necessarily need to get but want to anyway :) Sis treated us to V8, yum yumm :)

Eating with them was real fun, we forged ahead without actually keeping tabs on the amount we were gorging ourselves with. :D Had spaghetti bolognese, beef lasagne, seafood spaghetti; the set meals came with both garlic bread and tasty creamy soup. My sis ordered barley drink for me which grossed me out..whoever drinks green tea or barley when you are eating everything that's practically the definition of fat?! :O What I needed for a glass of fizzy coke to complete my fattening meal lah haha!!

The reason why my stomach was shouting "It's Enough!" when I continued to feed it with potato wedges dipped in superbly sinful cheeseee. Next we chiong-ed for Bugis Village after a hearty meal! Yvette first spent on a handphone cover, and I got myself a pwetty dress for my birthday dinner at Sentosa :*) Tings! Remember the one I asked u about and u claimed it's very 'me'? I bought it at only $22 yipee!! But i got it in grey! :D Lol!

We left for Iluma and spotted a Singtel shop at the top level, wanted to show sis the promotions so we went there. Upon seeing the chio LG crystal, she told me, "Just Get It Lah!" and in a split second, before i could even react, she turned to the guy and said, "We'll have one of this!" Gosh she acted like we were buying a pair of shoes or bag, so impromptu one! :O :O

Sudden owner of a beautiful phone :D I was ectastic when my sis discovered that the phone has a secondary camera and it reminded me of my old Samsung phone!! It once had its glorious moments till I unintentionally threw it on my bed one day and let it crash onto the cold hard floor :"( I will treat my crystal with care i promise!!

My sweet cousin offered to treat us to Starbucks, and I spent donkey time sms-ing leong cus I was proving myself incapable of handling a touch screen phone! Was testing out its 8megapix cam and it's fantabulous. :D Instead of feeling the pinch after visualising 310bucks flying out of my wallet really soon(sis paid for my phone first), I was in the mood of spending more! I know it's terrible. Wanted to buy two pair of shoes at Mitju but they dun have my size! :( Sis got herself a pair of sandals from D&C and Lost Symbol from Kino!

I was ngiaming that I spent more than anyone else that day and Yvette only bought a $12 hp cover & it made me depressed, so this kid went to make 5 keychains for her friends and herself at Mu-ee haha! So innocent isnt she, in a child-like way :) Sis and I were mentioning that we wouldnt mind bringing her out to shop again, she can such a shopaholic kid which is gooood!!

To end off, I'm back to take over Swivelle! My sis did a great job for the latest collection :) Will not be launching this week though as our studio guy isnt in town, which meant that I have ample time to do up the specifications and pricings for the upcoming collection, plus continuing to actively send out resumes to all companies..I cringe at the thought of Recruit being my best friend for the week :(

Birthday Celebration Part I

Oct. 20th, 2009 | 08:00 pm

I'm crazily busy these past few days, and i know it's that bad when I had to churn out the photos, specifications and pricings a few hours before the actual launch today. I'm usually quite prepared :( Met Leong for pizza hut this afternoon and immediately rushed home to finish up my undone work! Shall blog about my birthday celebration part I now before I'm off to Sentosa tomorrow morning :D Sis will be handling all the enquiries and emails, I hope she survives cus she hasnt been doing it for the longest time, lol!

Instead of having the usual steamboat and teppanyaki party at home this year, my family celebrated an advanced bdae for me at AhYat Seafood Restaurant! :) I heard my sis raving about the seafood there so I was dying to 'taste' if the cuisine there is even more mouth-watering than Palm Beach at One Fullerton!

There's a Unique Seafood Market located just outside AhYat Restaurant, with over 60 tanks of live seafood..u name it, they have it! Before ordering, u can choose the types of prawns, crabs or fish u want, and the chefs will prepare ur meals on the spot, so it definitely promises the freshest quality. :)

We had our dinner in a VIP room with a table for 15 people and a karaoke corner!
We didnt make use of the karaoke set though, which was a pity..but i doubt they have any sing-able songs there :x

Dearie, Mum and I had to wake up really early that day to help my aunt paint her house..appreciate him for doing all the tough manual tasks, especially scraping and painting the toilet ceilings. We truly deserve a good feast that day cus we were so hungry!

I cant describe how much I really love seafood :D My family knows that I love prawns so it was a mountain of it that night; the mussels, garlic-steamed bamboo clams, black pepper and chilli crabs made me call out for moree! My sis, Leong and I finished the leftover crabs and we are always the food-bin, Andrew wasnt there to help us out this time because of a family bbq, boo!

Birthday cake and lots of angbaos for me cus I wanted to get myself a new phone so my relatives decided to chip in :) I have a long list of stuff I need  And anyway i finally own this fabulous phone and I will blog about it when I'm back! I'm loving it! :) My sis said she cant criticise me anymore cus I have a phone as chic as her Blackberry Bold -.-"

Cheers to the October babies! Christy's birthday's on the 3rd, Yvette, Uncle Seeshye and my birthday's on the 21st, Uncle Fang's on the 22nd! Lol it's a good idea to celebrate everyone's together or else my month will be so packed with so many parties! :O And ohyeap Clar's bdae is this coming friday and I need to get pressies for her fast!

Hahaha Abby looks so helpless and she's like a cuddly teddy bear! :*) After seeing so many photos, have u all realised I cut my hair!! Lots of my friends were ngiam-ing away about my msn nick and corrected me, "Shorter hair, not short hair!" -_-"" I've cut like 3-4 inches so I insist it's short! Haha! I feel so much lighter and neater now, guess i've made a good decision of snipping off a few inches, yipees :)

Love.Peace.Faith 03 which will be launched at 9pm later! I've worn it to two birthday celebrations and I feel this pair of earrings is perfect if u wish to perk up ur outfit with a simple yet glamourous accessory. So hope u'll like tonight's collection! :) I'll be back from my bdae celebration at sunny island on thurs, so nights, keep safe and I'll blog about everything when i'm back! :D

Give up on your Goals?

Oct. 16th, 2009 | 12:16 am

I've been having late nights for the past 478 months and I'm desperate enough for any form of sleep before midnight! My eyes are all puffy, something calls for a miracle eye treatment for those lines and dark rings! :( Any eye masks to recommend? Been shopping at Watson's and i saw a lot of promising eye masks! Hopefully i'm able to pack all the parcels fassst tonight and indulge in my long-awaited sleep! :)

Clar came to my house yesterday and we 'spurred' each other on to send resumes to random companies on Recruit..I was grumbling of a backache after filling up the first online application haha! i hope we wun remain as two jobless souls anymore! :( On a sidenote, my hair is getting way too long that I'm in need of a trim..I miss the U-shaped haircut Annie did for me the other time! Maybe i'll book for an appointment tmr :D

My little darling looking so poised & adorable even when she's lying down! :)
And is she hinting something to me? :/

Case for a Creator

Oct. 13th, 2009 | 01:57 am

Leong and I are feeling the adrenaline rush whenever we watch HEROES and now we're so caught up with watching the brand new season "Redemption" every week! :D Love every single episode of it and we always have this tendency to gasp when we see the words "To Be Continued.."  HAHA this new season gives brilliant plot twists and we. are. definitely. hooked. :D

Had PizzaHut for lunch before setting off to Hindoo Road to collect our paychecks! I totally forgot about losing weight at that point of time cus I miss my curry zazzle so much. Somebody (i'm tempted to curse her now really) had to repeatedly mention that I'm becoming so fat that it's shocking, in public, in front of stick-thin young girls who are total strangers to me!

ARGH i seriously hate to detest anybody but she's so tactless & rude (i swear she wasnt joking at all) and the worst thing is i'm letting her get to me. :(( Anyway it sure is hard-earned moolah, we went to the company to collect our paychecks and it started pouring like crazy! Thanks dearie for helping me bank in the cheques!

Yipee I have a product to share with u girls! :D My eyes are really sensitive, not by nature but my eyelids are always feeling itchy and I've adopted this extremely bad habit of rubbing and scratching my eyelids every 10 minutes. Yes, very paranoid. Which results in me looking like a lost cause at the end of the each day - my eyeliner never fails to smudge and it sucks cus it totally defeats the purpose of using an eyeliner if it makes u look panda-eyed and dull!

Which is why u must trust my recommendation when it comes to choosing the perfect eyeliner!! I've used ZA, Marjolica, SilkyGirl, Maybelline and Clarins and sadly to say none of them works for me, considering i have oily eyelids as well :( I decided to get a good eyeliner once and for all and while shopping with Clar last week at Watsons, we experimented with other brands and yes, this is it. The Revlon Colourstay eyeliner is absolutely fantastic!! I can scratch and rub my eyes to blindness and my eyeliner still doesnt fade or smudge! And the best part is, it's not as stubborn when it comes to makeup removal time!

Haha I sound like I'm doing a paid advert but I'm not of course! Just wanna share my reviews and hopefully it's useful to those who are still trying to find a durable eyeliner! :))

Before I'm off, here's a preview of Swivelle's upcoming collection! Kudos to Sis cus she wasnt feeling very well that day but still managed to continue with the photoshoot! Our manufactured lace-up corset has finally arrived and we really hope our customers will love it :) And thanks to those girls who have emailed us and showed lots of interest in the earrings which I wore out on my anni! :)

See u ladies tonight at 9pm when we launch!

Mother of All Buffets

Oct. 5th, 2009 | 09:35 pm

Jiyi treated us to a weekend buffet lunch at The Line! :) It was really crowded for one thing, but we were allocated to pretty strategic seats in the heart of the restaurant, where we were very much accessible to all 16 stations including the Japanese Corner, the Crustacean Bar and the Grill. Both the ambience and service were good, waiters were extremely quick to clear dirty plates and fill our empty cups. :)

My voracious appetite was limited that day cus of a bugging cramp which had me feeling bloated and full just after my first plate of scallops salad, fresh salmon and giant cold prawns :( But i managed to squeeze in sushis, fantastic beef bolognese, laksa, roti prata and a chocolate brownie crepe so it wasnt so bad :) I proceeded to watch my sis with envy as she continued being her gluttony self hahaha.

A fine selection of desserts which I didnt get to try, except for the chocolate macaroons which were more than just yummy!!

It's a pity i couldnt post our America's Next Top Model model pics cus my sis deterred me from ruining our own reputations wahaha! Maybe i shall create a private entry of all my ugly photos to entertain u all hehe. :D And do u realise how i'm almost as tall as my 13yearsold cousin (I'm wearing heels somemore!) and my sis's chin is way above Christy's head?! :O Soon i'll be the shortest among all my cousins sighs :(

Left  the hotel early as I had to rush to give leong's parents mooncakes! Spent the rest of the day watching a HK comedy with Dear and his mum, had kfc for dinner at Compass and walking Abby around the neighbourhood with him at night..MidAutumn without lanterns, mooncakes and sparklers still seemed enjoyable somehow :))

Candy-Filled 65th :)

Oct. 3rd, 2009 | 11:59 pm

At 11pm on the eve of MidAutumn's, Dearie popped me a surprise by appearing at my doorstep with mooncakes for me and my mum! :*) He got us yummlicious durian mooncakes from Emicakes (it's supposedly known to be Singapore's No.1 Durian Cake Maker) and snowskin ones from Bengawan Solo! :D

I bought mooncakes for his family too, made a trip to his hse today to give it to them personally! :)) Leong said his buddies wanted to ask him out for a prawning outing but he turned them down cus he told them he wanna give me mooncakes. He's so sweet I wish I could give him a big hug that moment! :*)

It was our 65th monthsary on the 1st, and believe me we were so looking forward to our anni date cus we havent stepped out of the 'Circle line' of Serangoon-Sengkang since foreveerr lol. I was giving Leong ample warnings like "No Pizza Hut! No Sakae Sushi! No Pastamania!", due to the fact that these restaurants are so easily within our reach!

Dear helped me carry a huge chunk of parcels and after we deposited them at Marina Square's PO box, I asked him what should we eat for lunch and he jokingly said, "Seoul Garden lohs" cus it was right in front of us and I happily screamed, "YAY u suggest one huhhh!!!" :D So he treated me a beef-licious meal at one of my fav places ever :)

Thankew for always wanting me to control my alarming appetite, but still letting me have my way cus u know how much i love eating and all u want is to make me happy :)) For treating me like a princess and serving me plates & plates of black pepper beef which I cheerfully indulged in. For simply being the sweetest boyfriend despite how cool and nonchalent u can be as a person :) Loves!

I caught Leong looking rather distracted when he talked to me and when i asked him why, he said my earrings were too attractive wahaha!! I'm really lazy to wear accessories out but this pair is really nicceee! If u look carefully, there are crystals covered up by a soft netting and it's so unique! And guess what they'll be up on Swivelle!!! :D

Challenged Dearie to Daytona and he was so pathetic he had to crash my car just to win -_-"" He never fails to resort to underhand means during games so irritating! Still it was fun and I'm quite proud to be a reckless driver, and a good one at that hehe. And after watching him play the colour boxing game I concluded he has no sense of rhythm at all HAHAH. It felt great to skip all the usual window-shopping and feeling like a teen that day! :)

Dear wanted to watch This Is It, which he had to repeatedly mention to me that it's a movie about the 'legendary pop singer", "the world's most famous icon" and all sorts of heavenly descriptions of Michael Jackson he could possibly think of, cus I insisted that it must be a documentary about Neverland, his concerts, his children etc...which makes sense right! Anyway the movie will be screening on 29th Oct so it meant we had to choose another movie!

Haha we decided to watch our 1st 3D movie and Leong was laughing away when i said, "We watch Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs lah!!" To be honest the title of the movie didnt exactly make us feel very confident abt the show but it put us in a merry mood somehow! So exciting! :D And don't we look like a perfect pair of Mr & Mrs Cyclops hahaha!

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is basically everything, the plot is brilliantly written..it's fun, entertaining, spirited, humourous, touching and inspiring, all in one! :) This movie of hamburger showers, ice cream snowball fights, sunny-sideup mornings, Jell-O kingdoms & Spaghetti tornado left us exiting the theatre with goofy smiles on our faces :)) for me!

Sweets from Minitoons for Dearie :) The bad thing about him is that he's always not lacking of anything and it's such a toughie getting something for him during occasions! Made a trip to HougangMall, intending to get a black tanktop for him from CottonOn but it closed down! :O:O I couldnt believe it cus I thought i just went into that shop one week ago?!! Such a pity cus i wanted to get a nice shorts there.

A really intelligent gift i bought for him..a chocolate comb! Nope u cant eat it dear, it only looks like a chocolate that's all -_-"" Maybe it will satisfy his cravings each time he wishes for a Hersheys or Cadbury! :D (as u can tell i'm really running out of ideas of what to get for him every anni lol!!)

The 1980's Combing Style HAHAHA.

Leong and I have been together for a wonderful 5years5months till date, and it's amazing how we're still cherishing every minute spent with each other. Communication plays such a crucial role in a relationship, 'cus it brings about understanding, treating each other with respect and simply loving ur partner more :)) I'm already looking forward to our next anni date :*)

As Random

Sep. 30th, 2009 | 11:59 pm

I have to leave the invoicing and verifying of payments till tmr cus it's our 65th monthsary on the 1st Oct (which is tmrrr!!) and I need lots & lots of beauty sleep tonight! :D:D Seeing both new and old customers at Swivelle is always a wonderful feeling, I have this uber sweet customer who emailed us a long message, telling us that she got to know Swivelle today and she loves our clothes so much that she backtracked all the way to our 1st collection and saved the pics of all the pieces she loves..Makes my night, really. :*)

We launched our 51st collection today and as usual here are my top3 favourites! I think Leong and my friends will see more of me in this studded tanktop which I love wearing out now! The cutting of the khaki nude dress is great and not mentioning the lovely floral brooches we bring in this time round! Shop Shop Away! :D

Dearie treated me to Sakura at Compass yesterday! :*) We took two pics but not surprisingly we looked super cui hahaha! I reminded him to remind me never to eat TomYam noodles ever again cus I requested for extra spiciness and it still doesnt beat the super tasty Phad Thai they have..like i said ordering Phad Thai will never go wrong!

As promised, BBgirl's Depression Corner! She was like this when she heard thunder that day and she scurried into the miserable hole refusing to come out -_-" So adorable still. :) Okie gotta go and have a rare >8hours of sleep, cant wait for my anni date with Dearie tomorrow! Have a good night! :D

A 3-leaf Clover

Sep. 29th, 2009 | 01:51 am

Tonight was spent creating a new banner for Sis's blog; I couldnt believe that I actually offered to give her blog a different look, but it was only because I could no longer stand the mediocre appearance of the header I did for her agesss ago. Maybe that's why I never seem to be able to sleep before midnight. :( Did i also mention that I was so shacked because of the constant accumulation of sleeping debts that I slept (not a nap!) at 7+pm last Friday? Why am i so busy when I'm jobless!?! :(

Hahah anyway Lantern Festival's this coming Saturday and before heading down to Hindoo Road for a job briefing on Thursday, Dear and I decided to do some 'research' at Compasspoint so we'll know which mooncakes to buy when the day's arriving! We bought ourselves a Chocolate and Durian mini mooncake at $1.20 each (i forgot what brand is it)..the durian mooncake was pretty good but the chocolate one was way too heaty for us! Wanted to try the Oreo but it was out of stock..that reminds me I must rmb to buy mooncakes for leong's parents & my mum by thursday! :)

Us in the meeting room of the construction site for myVillage at Serangoon Gardens! Yingchun needed 4 people for myMosaic event so I called Leong, Clar & Jiamin along and I must say it was a huge consolation working with them cus the job totally sucked! We started off packing goodie bags (pretty fun cus I packed really fast and I deliberately complained that Jiamin is slowing down the entire production process, lol!), then set up the canvas, replenished paint....and as suay as I could possibly be, I had to do myHandwriting collection with Clar and we both dreaded it to the core cus we had to shout louder than the mc and the weather was merciless i tell you!

I thought that was all until one of my in-charge asked me to be a garbage woman and I had to work alongside with the construction workers! :( There was one joy though - interacting with the kids! I had to be a personal maid for some, helping them to wear their gloves and aprons, giving them the colour of paint they wanted, but at least it took my mind off the fact that I had to continue clearing rubbish!

I finally found a job which tops the NLB event.

After getting dirtied by paint, rubbish, dust & sweat, Leong and I rushed off to attend my cousin's party! All my relatives said I looked totally shacked, which was not a wonder considering the hell i went through :( Bathed and changed into a new comfy tee Clar got me from Vietnam, gorged myself to death and I was stoned throughout the party..sighs.

Happy birthday Christy, hope u like the ManU jersey and white flats we got for u! :) Haha shall stop before I get really whiny and hopefully happy & relaxing days will come my way this week!! :)
